Macon police are investigating an attempted armed robbery Monday afternoon at Time Loan and Income Tax, 360 Cherry St., according to a Macon police report.
A man, who was wearing a red bandanna on his face, tried to enter the business about 12:45 p.m. but was not able to get past the locked magnetic doors, according to the report.
Two female employees who were working said the man gestured as if he had a weapon but did not display one.
When he was not able to get inside, he ran down a nearby alley.

The assailant was described as a light complected black man in his early to mid-20s, and approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and 160 pounds. He was wearing a black hoodie in a silky material, blue jeans and white shoes, and was covering his face with a red bandanna, according to the report.
