Macon man shot while riding in SUV

A man was shot in the shoulder after several gunshots were fired at a sport utility vehicle Saturday morning, according to the Macon police.

Police found several bullet holes in the 1997 Chevrolet Suburban that 30-year-old Mandriez Spivey was riding in when he was shot just before 6:45 a.m., according to a police report released Monday.

Spivey and four other people were riding in the Pleasant Hill area when the shooting occurred, according to the report.

Spivey, of Napier Avenue, was taken to The Medical Center of Central Georgia for treatment, but was released by Monday afternoon, said Sgt. Melanie Hofmann, police spokeswoman.

An officer noted in a report of the incident that the victims did not cooperate with police and police have no suspects.
