Bullet fired into south Macon home

Someone fired a bullet into the home of a south Macon resident early Thursday, according to a Macon police report.

A 53-year-old woman said she was in her kitchen at about 2 a.m. when she heard the bullet enter her Shearwater Drive residence.

The bullet passed through the bathroom and stopped in a kitchen wall, according to the report. Two small holes were located in a bathroom wall and also in the kitchen wall, according to the report, but a bullet was not found.

No injuries were reported.

The gunfire remains under investigation by Macon police.
