A Washington Avenue man was held at gunpoint early Thursday morning as two men forced him to allow them into his home, according to Macon police.
Two men wearing all black with black bandanas came up behind the man as he returned to his home in the 800 block of Washington Avenue at about 1 a.m., according to a police news release.
The robbers instructed the man to open the door to his house and then rummaged through the apartment, taking an undisclosed amount of money, according to the release.
The men left in a silver Honda type vehicle with two other men, according to the police.

One robber, described as being a 5-foot-7-inch black man who weighs about 145 pounds, carried a shotgun. The second robber is described as being a 6-foot-2-inch black man who weighs about 185 pounds, according to the release.
A description for the other two men in the car has not been released.
