Macon man accused of stabbing arrested

A 19-year-old Macon man was arrested Thursday and charged with criminal attempt to commit murder in connection with a stabbing Wednesday in south Macon, according to authorities.

Milton Searcy Jr., of 816 Beddingfield Ave., is accused of stabbing 28-year-old Michael Thomas, according to Macon police.

Authorities said Thomas is the boyfriend of Searcy’s mother.

The mother and son were living together at the Beddingfield Avenue home, police said. Police could not confirm if Thomas also resides there.

Searcy remains in custody at the Bibb County jail without bond, according to jail records.

Thomas was transported to The Medical Center of Central Georgia with injuries. He was in stable condition late Thursday, according to authorities.
