Man accused of stabbing roommate out on bond, according to Bibb sheriff's office

A Thomaston Road man has been released from jail on $11,100 bond after allegedly stabbing his roommate in the abdomen, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

Just before 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, 20-year-old Thomas Johnson, of 6229 Thomaston Road, was involved in a verbal dispute with 22-year-old Lacey Bell, said sheriff’s office spokesman Lt. George Meadows.

Bell struck Johnson in the face and as Johnson tried to restrain Bell, his roommate, 22-year-old Corey Key, stabbed him in the abdomen, Meadows said.

Johnson was taken to The Medical Center of Central Georgia and has been released, Meadows said.

Key was charged with aggravated assault and was released on bond Thursday, he said.

Bell was charged with simple battery and was released on $650 bond Wednesday morning, Meadows said.
