No arrests in nightclub stabbing homicide

Few details were released Monday about a Saturday morning stabbing at Club Money’s on Pio Nono Avenue that left one man dead and a second injured.

No arrests have been made, said Macon police Sgt. Melanie Hofmann.

A police officer responded to the club at about 3:20 a.m. Saturday after receiving a request for help from two officers already at the club, according to a police report released Monday.

The officers needed help because a large fight had broken out and they couldn’t control the crowd, according to the report.By the time the third officer arrived 29-year-old Ronnie Earl Brown, of Lindsey Drive, had been fatally stabbed in the chest, according to the police.

Gregory Moore, 23, also was injured. Moore was released from the hospital Saturday, Hofmann said.

A phone call to the club Monday night went unanswered. An answering machine advertised Saturday’s March 14 customer appreciation night.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Macon Regional CrimeStoppers at (877) 68-CRIME or the Macon Police Department at (478) 751-7500.
