Man beaten with stick during home invasion, Macon police say

A man was beaten with a wooden stick at about 9:40 p.m. Monday after a woman and two men kicked down his back door in a home invasion robbery, according to the Macon police.

After kicking down the door in the 3800 block of Brown Avenue, the intruders beat the man and demanded money that they said he owed them, according to a police report released Tuesday.

One of the intruders then took a phone away from a woman living at the house as she tried to call the police, according to the report.

The man said he was struck three to four times in the head and in the leg by an intruder with a wooden stick, according to the police.

The intruders left in a brown Chevrolet Blazer, according to the report.

An emergency medical crew attended to the man’s injuries at the scene. Police recovered a wooden stick from the front of the house, according to the report.
