Police: Macon man allegedly lied about armed robbery

An 18-year-old Macon man has been charged with false swearing after he allegedly lied when he reported he had been robbed near Britt Drive and Alexander Drive on Tuesday, according to the Macon police.

Nicholas Cole Fisher, of Crestline Drive, was arrested Wednesday and is being held on $1,200 bond, according to Bibb County jail records.

Fisher told police he and a woman were robbed at gunpoint Tuesday in the parking lot of North Napier Apartments.Information from The Telegraph’s archives was included in this report.
