Macon man carjacked, robbed

A man was robbed at gunpoint and carjacked Thursday morning while driving near the intersection of Log Cabin Drive and Napier Avenue, according to Macon police.

The 50-year-old Napier Avenue man told police he was approached by a gunman who demanded money at about 2 a.m., according to a police report.

The gunman took the money and then got into the man’s 1992 Ford Explorer and demanded that he drive toward Robinson Road, according to the report.

The gunman forced the man out of his vehicle near the intersection of Robinson Road and Napier Avenue and drove off in an unknown direction, according to the report.
