More details released about robbery of woman outside Macon Mall

Macon Police have released more information about the robbery of a 67-year-old woman in the upper level parking lot of Sears at the Macon Mall on Monday morning.

The woman felt a tug on the shoulder strap of her purse at about 10:30 a.m. and turned around to see a man pointing a gun at her, according to the police.She surrendered her purse, but the man threw her to the ground, according to the police.

Police say the woman was taken to Coliseum Hospital for treatment of scrapes and bruises, but was at home Tuesday.
