Stray bullet wounds Warner Robins man in neck

A Warner Robins man was struck in the neck by a stray bullet Friday evening while standing outside of a house in the 100 block of Galan Way, according to Warner Robins police.

The man told police he heard gunfire about 6:45 p.m. and realized he had been shot, according to a police news release.The gunfire appeared to come from east of the residence, police said, near the intersection of Iverness Avenue and Galan Way.The man was transported to a local hospital and treated for the gunshot wound.

He was listed in stable condition late Friday, authorities said. The shooting remains under investigation by Warner Robins police.
