Pizza deliveryman beaten, robbed in Macon

A Domino’s Pizza delivery person was robbed and carjacked while making a delivery late Monday night, according to the Macon police.

The deliveryman told police he attempted to deliver a pizza to an address on Dorothy Avenue when he was flagged down by two unidentified men in front of an abandoned house, according to a police report released Tuesday.

The men told the deliveryman that they had placed a pizza order, but as the delivery man allowed one of them to inspect the pizza, the other struck him in the head with a baseball bat or large stick, according to the report.

The deliveryman fell to the ground and was continually struck in the head as the men demanded money. Taking the deliveryman’s money, the men ordered that he disrobe in the middle of the street, according to the report.

The men then left in the deliveryman’s car, according to the report.
