Forsyth man accused of Macon home invasion arrested

A 27-year-old Forsyth man wanted in a Jan. 3 armed robbery in Macon was arrested Tuesday morning in Monroe County, Deputy U.S. Marshal John Edgar said.

Darren Andrew Proctor was apprehended by members of the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force at about 10 a.m., Edgar said.

Proctor is accused of robbing three people inside an apartment at Whispering Woods, located at 4411 Northside Drive, at 11:30 p.m. Jan. 3, according to a Bibb County Sheriff’s Office report.

A resident told deputies he was inside the apartment with his girlfriend and a friend when the door bell rang. A man asked for jumper cables and a second man, wearing a mask and carrying a gun, pushed his way into the apartment, according to the report.

The robbers forced the three people to lie face down on the floor while they took money.

Proctor is being held at the Bibb County jail without bond, according to jail records.
