UPDATE: Case against Macon woman accused of prostitution dismissed

UPDATE: The case against Katey Margaret Wardlow of Macon was dismissed in 2011 without an accusation being filed in Bibb County State Court. Below is the original story published Jan. 28, 2009.

Macon police have arrested a prostitute who advertised services on Craig’s List, according to a police report released Tuesday.

Jan. 16, an officer called the number listed on Craig’s List, a popular Web site for people selling goods or services. The officer was told the woman charged $150 “as a donation for her time,” according to the report.

The officer gave the woman directions to the Best Western at 2400 Riverside Drive where a room was set up with a camera. When 31-year-old Katey Margaret Wardlow of Macon arrived, she solicited sex for $150, according to the report.

After accepting payment, Wardlow was arrested for prostitution, according to the report.
