Macon recycling center robbed

Two masked men robbed East Macon Recycling just after 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, according to the Macon police.

Employees of the recycling center, 1488 Emery Highway, told officers two men entered the business and displayed a shotgun as they demanded money, according to a police news release.

The robbers left in a gold or champagne colored four-door Chevrolet after taking an undisclosed amount of money from employees and the cash register, according to the release. The vehicle was last seen driving toward Jeffersonville Road from Emery Highway at Indian Circle.
