Woman carjacked at Vineville Ave. gas station in Macon

A man armed with a shotgun threatened a 25-year-old Macon woman and took her car from the Marathon, 3224 Vineville Ave., just after 5 p.m. Saturday, according to the Macon police.

The woman told police she went to the gas station to buy cigarettes and noticed three young men sitting on railroad tracks behind the store, according to a police report released Tuesday.

When she exited the store, one of the men walked up to her and pointed a short shotgun at her while demanding the keys to her 1995 Saturn.

In fear, the woman told police she gave the man her keys.

The incident occurred in a blind spot of the gas station’s surveillance cameras, according to the report.
