Macon gas station robbed

Two men robbed the Marathon gas station, 4116 Napier Ave., just after 10 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Macon police. Employees told police they were closing the store when two men robbed the store at gunpoint, according to a police report released Thursday.

One of the men pulled a gun and demanded valuables before patting down three employees, according to the report. The other man stood watch, according to the report.

The robbers ran away down Ayers Road, according to the report.

Witnesses describe the robbers as being black men in their 20s or 30s, who were between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighed about 160 pounds. One of the men was wearing a thick blue jacket, blue jeans and black shoes.

The other wore a blue jacket, black pants, black shoes, a blue beanie, glasses, and a blue and white bandana on his face, according to the report.
