A 41-year-old man was robbed at gunpoint and ordered to go into a gas station to get cigarettes in the nude Wednesday morning, according to the Macon police.
The man told officers he was walking on Elm Street about 6:40 a.m. when a car pulled up next to him. A man inside the car pointed a gun at him and ordered that he get inside the car, according to a Macon police report released Thursday.
Once inside the car, the man was ordered to take off his clothes and hand over all of his valuables, according to the report.
The gunman drove to the Citgo gas station near Vineville and Holt avenues and ordered the nude man to go inside and get a pack of cigarettes, according to police.

After getting the cigarettes, the man told police he ran out of the store and across the street where he found a trash bag in a dumpster.
Wearing the trash bag, the man ran to a parked ambulance and banged on the door until someone responded. Ambulance personnel then called police, according to the report. Responding officers wrote in their report that they verified that the man was at the gas station Wednesday morning.
The case has been turned over to investigators.
