Macon man gets 20-year sentence in June killing

A Macon man was sentenced to serve 20 years in prison Monday after pleading guilty to voluntary manslaughter in the June 10 killing of a Pleasant Hill man.

Rodreagus Octavie Roberson, 31, of Amos Street, entered his plea in Bibb County Superior Court.

He pistol-whipped and fatally shot Reese McCoy Jr. at McCoy’s Brief Street home following an argument between McCoy and Roberson’s mother, said Assistant Bibb County District Attorney Elizabeth Bobbitt.
