Gunmen rob Macon restaurant

Two men wearing masks sat down at a table at the IHOP, 1224 Eisenhower Parkway, just before midnight Thursday morning and pointed a gun at a waitress when she approached them, according to the Macon police.

The robbers — one wearing a ski mask, the other a red bandana — forced the waitress to walk to the cash drawer, according to a police news release.

The nervous waitress was unable to open the cash drawer.

The men grabbed the cash drawer and ran away across Eisenhower Parkway toward Ell Street, according to the police.
