A Bleckley County woman who was blinded by the sun was killed in an accident early Wednesday on Ga. 87.
Sierra Neesmith, 18, of Cochran, was pulling out from Hudson Jones Road about 8:15 a.m. when she drove her 2001 Ford Mustang into the path of a 2004 Jeep Cherokee, said Georgia State Patrol Trooper 1st Class Mark Bracewell.
The driver of the Jeep, Mia Maharaj of Eastman, applied her brakes but told the investigating trooper there was no way she could stop, the trooper’s report stated.
Neesmith was a 2008 graduate of Bleckley County High School, according to the sheriff’s office.
