Macon restaurant owner robbed

The owner of Hong Kong Express on Pio Nono Avenue was robbed Tuesday night while exiting his vehicle at an apartment complex, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

The man told deputies he was getting out of his car in the Brookhaven Apartments parking area, in the 4800 block of Brookhaven Road, at 11:14 p.m. when two unidentified men wearing black clothing approached him with handguns, according to a sheriff’s office news release.

The man gave the robbers cash from business proceeds and they ran away, according to the release.
