Midstate woman injured after crashing into school bus

An 84-year-old Pineview woman rear-ended a stopped school bus Monday afternoon on Ga. 257 near the Dooly-Crisp County line, according to the Georgia State Patrol.

Senior Trooper Chuck Gordon said Helen Conner struck the back of the bus with her car as children were getting off the bus at about 4:30 p.m.

A few of the children complained of injuries, but none were life-threatening, he said.

Conner was taken to a Macon hospital for treatment.

Gordon said Conner will be cited for following too closely.
