A Cochran man died Sunday night after crashing his car into a utility pole on North Houston Road in Warner Robins. Edward Marcus Wildes, 63, might have suffered a medical emergency as witnesses saw him slumping over the driver’s seat just prior to the 7 p.m. crash, according to a news release from the Warner Robins Police Department.
Wildes was driving his 2006 Mercury Grand Marquis south when he veered into the central turn lane near Woodlawn Avenue then crossed both southbound lanes, hit the curb, a sign and then the pole, the release stated.
He was pronounced dead at the Houston Medical Center at about 8 p.m.
