Pregnant Macon pizza driver assaulted, robbed

A 16-year-old Macon teenager is in custody after allegedly robbing a pregnant pizza delivery woman Sunday morning, according to the Macon police. The teenager, whose name is being withheld because of his age, is charged with robbery by force and aggravated assault, according to a police news release.

The pregnant Domino’s Pizza employee was delivering a pizza to 146 Calloway Drive just before 11 a.m. when she was confronted by four men, according to the release.

Police say one of the men struck the woman, knocking her to the ground and took the pizza. The men then ran away. An officer on patrol spotted the 16-year-old after descriptions of the suspects were distributed to officers, according to the release. Police are still searching for the other suspects.
