Macon man shot during robbery

A Macon man was shot in the leg Tuesday night during a robbery in the 4000 block of Emory Drive, according to the Macon police.

A witness told officers 27-year-old Deandre Williams of Emory Drive was parking his car beside a house when a masked man walked up from the street and demanded money, according to a police report.

The robber fired two shots, hitting Williams in the back of his left leg, according to the report.

Williams and the robber then walked to the side of the carport where the robber forced Williams to open a storage room. He ran away after hearing police sirens, according to the report.
