Milledgeville man arrested in double fatality wreck

A 23-year-old man was arrested Wednesday in Putnam County on multiple counts in a double fatality wreck on Oct. 19, said Sheriff Howard Sills.

Andrew Ray Ennis of Milledgeville was arrested on two counts of first degree homicide by vehicle, driving under the influence, improper passing and failure to maintain his lane, Sills said in an e-mail. Ennis was released on a $50,000 bond Wednesday afternoon.

Otis Stone Hunter Jr., 52, and Anna Frey Hunter, 53, both of Bunnell, Fla., were killed instantly about 3 miles south of Eatonton on U.S. 441 when their motorcycle was struck by a vehicle allegedly driven by Ennis that reportedly crossed the center line. Ennis and his passenger, Amber Bloodworth, also of Milledgeville, were taken to Oconee Regional Medical Center before being transferred to The Medical Center of Central Georgia. Sills said Wednesday they received minor injuries.

The arrest was made Wednesday after crime lab results were made available, Sills said
