Fugitive arrested, accused of kidnapping, sexual assault

A man wanted for kidnapping and aggravated assault was arrested by members of the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force on Tuesday night.

Antini Roy Maines, 31, of Shamrock Lane, allegedly took a woman into a Village Green residence against her will on Oct. 22 and committed a sexual assault, according to a U.S. Marshals news release.

Members of the task force, the Macon police and Macon Regional CrimeStoppers developed information that Maines frequented an address on Shakespear Boulevard, according to the release.

He was arrested at a Shakespeare Boulevard address at about 10:30 p.m. without incident, according to the release.

Maines is being held at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center without bond, according to jail records.
