Two hundred pounds of copper and 60 pounds of aluminum were stolen between Thursday night and Friday morning, according to the Bibb County Sheriff's Office.
An employee of My Electric Co., 2570 Spires Drive, told officers that the copper, aluminum and $100 worth of motor oil were left in the yard of the business when he left work about 5 p.m. Thursday, according to a sheriff's office report released Monday.
When the employee returned to work Friday morning about 7:30 a.m., he noticed trash on the ground and the items missing, according to the report.
A lock on the service gate leading to the property had been cut, according to the report.
