Women charged in Wendy’s theft

The Bibb County Sheriff's Office arrested two women Sunday and Monday on theft charges in connection to a reported armed robbery at Wendy's at 6240 Zebulon Road, officials said.

Sheriff's Lt. George Meadows said Precious Monique White, 29, of Robin Hood Road, and Jessica Singleton of Mumford Road, were arrested by deputies for their alleged involvement with the false report of an armed robbery Sunday at Wendy's.

Singleton, who had been working the drive-through window, initially told deputies Sunday that a suspect driving a dark green or black sport utility vehicle pulled up to the window, pulled out a gun and demanded money, Meadows said.

Meadows said deputies found the vehicle, which belongs to White, several minutes after the initial call. They found a black wig, gloves and the cash register drawer in the vehicle. White then told deputies that she and Singleton planned the theft together, that White ordered food and that Singleton handed her the cash drawer.

According to the report, White has been charged with theft by taking and is in custody with a $2,300 bond. Singleton has been charged with fiduciary theft and is in custody with a $2,850 bond.
