As police and sheriff’s deputies work to identify suspects in a Gray homicide, a reward is being offered for information.

Gray Police Chief Adam Lowe issued a statement Thursday about a $7,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the killer of a Jones County man at his apartment complex.

About 1:30 a.m. Monday, 24-year-old Donald Marquise Hardwick was shot to death at Northside Villas of Gray on Eatonton Highway, Lowe said.

The Jones County Sheriff’s Office is assisting the police department with its first homicide this year.

In Thursday’s release, Lowe did not share any information about the suspects’ description, but he did note that two people might be involved in Marquise Hardwick’s death.

Anyone with information related to the shooting and suspects should call Gray police at 478-986-5554, the Jones County Sheriff’s Office at 478-986-3489 or Macon Regional CrimeStoppers at 877-68-CRIME.
