Warner Robins police find clerk seriously wounded in suspected robbery

Warner Robins police officers responding to a report of an injured clerk found the man suffering from a gunshot wound on the floor of the 777 Store.

Just before 2:30 a.m., Paresh Patel, 28, was shot in the torso while working at the store at 1760 Watson Blvd., according to a news release from the Warner Robins Police Department.

Patel was taken to Medical Center, Navicent Health, and was in serious condition.

Police detectives suspect Patel was wounded during a robbery, but they are still trying to determine what happened as no one else was in the store at the time.
