WITTENBERG: Caring Solutions an option for unplanned pregnancies

Life can sometimes confound you. Just when you think you have it figured out, life sometimes throws you a curve. At times, we go through life thinking this is only a dress rehearsal. I hate to spoil your fantasy with a dose of reality, but this is no rehearsal, it’s the actual live play and you are the leading character in your life.

Like any live performance, sometimes life brings unexpected things like forgetting your lines or scenery dropping in your lap. Regardless, life goes on.

At times like these it is wonderful to know that there are people who are concerned about you and present and willing to offer assistance.

Such people can be found at Caring Solutions Pregnancy Center at 109 Osigian Blvd., suite 400, in Warner Robins and 112 Pierce Ave. in Macon. If you find yourself with an unplanned pregnancy and are questioning whether you have any options at this critical time, Caring Solutions is there and ready to be of assistance to you. Caring Solutions exists to assist women facing an unplanned pregnancy. They provide care and commitment to each person they serve.

The phone number for the Warner Robins office is 478-225-2241 and the phone number for the Macon office is 478-755-1343. To visit the Macon office, it is advised to make an appointment because it is very busy.

Their office hours in Warner Robins are noon to 5 p.m. Monday, noon to 7 p.m. Tuesday and noon to 5 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday. Though appointments are preferred, you can visit during any of these office hours. To make an appointment, call 478-225-2241.

An appointment will typically take an hour and all you need to bring is yourself and identification. If you want to bring a friend or family member with you, they will certainly be welcomed.

They offer nurse administered pregnancy tests, limited ultra-sound imaging, after-abortion care and support, options counseling, information about your options and parenting education, STD and HIV information.

By attending the parenting education program, you can earn points to purchase new baby items through their HOPE (Hope Offered in a Pregnancy Experience) program. Healthy pregnancy, parenting and life skills education and support -- all these and others are provided All information is kept confidential to the fullest extent allowable by law. Caring Solutions voluntarily follows HIPPA regulations.
