WARNER ROBINS -- Instead of handing out tickets, Warner Robins police officers are expected to hand out ice cream Thursday.
The effort, dubbed “Traffic Stops for Blizzards,” is a fundraiser for the Children’s Miracle Network, according to a Warner Robins Police Department news release.
Also, Police Chief Brett Evans is expected to help out from 2-3 p.m. at the Dairy Queen on Watson Boulevard by serving up cool treats for those helping raise money, the release said.
The police department is partnering with Flint Energies in the “Miracle Treat Day” fundraiser.

“Officers may pull you over ... and instead of handing out tickets they’ll hand out Dairy Queen Blizzards,” the release said. “It’s all in an effort to help raise money on Miracle Treat Day. Please join us for this great cause.”
