A portion of Gunn Road is scheduled to close for a few days starting Monday.
That could change depending on the weather, but for now a short section of the road from Eagle Springs subdivision to Willow Way will be closed for up to a week.
The work is part of an ongoing $3 million widening project. The closure is needed to install a 6-foot-wide concrete drain pipe under the road, said Robbie Dunbar, Houston County operations director.
The closure will not prevent anyone from getting to their home, he said, but it will mean any through traffic will have to find another route. The road is set to reopen July 19, but Dunbar said he believes it could be sooner with good weather.
