Warner Robins police to conduct full honor funeral for retired captain

WARNER ROBINS -- Police are conducting a full honor funeral service Wednesday for retired police Capt. Charlie Sadlo Jr.

Sadlo, 73, who served in the Warner Robins Police Department from April 1974 to November 2010, died Saturday. He worked in undercover operations as well as patrol and investigations, according to his obituary.

The funeral service is at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, with burial following in Magnolia Park Cemetery.

The funeral procession is expected to start at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home, traveling south on South Houston Lake Boulevard, east down Watson Boulevard and north onto South Pleasant Hill Road to the cemetery.

South Pleasant Hill Road between Sunset Drive and Shirley Drive will be blocked for the funeral procession. Burial will be at 11:30 a.m.

The graveside service is expected to include a 21-gun salute and a helicopter flyover.
