Warner Robins liquor store held up twice in two days

WARNER ROBINS -- Call it a strange coincidence.

Famous Liquors at 545 N. Davis Drive was recently held up twice on back-to-back nights. But the incidents are not thought to be related, said Jennifer Parson, public information officer for Warner Robins police.

Kenneth Christopher McCrary, 47, of Warner Robins, was charged with attempted armed robbery by intimidation, criminal trespass and possession of drug paraphernalia in Saturday’s incident. He’s accused of pretending to have a gun and demanding money, Parson said. The drug paraphernalia was a glass pipe, the police report stated.

Meanwhile, police are still looking for two men who robbed the liquor store the previous night. One had a gun and forced employees to hand over cash and other property, Parson said. A customer was also in the store with the three employees. No one was hurt.

Both suspects wore masks, Parson said.
