Patients with non-life-threatening illnesses may now reserve a spot in a Houston Healthcare emergency room.
ER Express, an online tool that allows patients to select a time to see an ER health care provider, is available at Houston Medical Center in Warner Robins and Perry Hospital, according to a news release.
“We believe ER Express will be of great use for those with non-life-threatening illnesses who need to come to the emergency room but are afraid of how long they will have to wait,” Mindy Hartley, vice president of Patient Care Services and chief nursing officer for Houston Healthcare, said in the release. “The goal is for most patients who use ER Express to be seen as close to their check-in time as possible, but as in all situations, we will treat patients who enter our Emergency Departments according to the severity of their illness.”
ER Express is a free service. For more information, visit www.hhc.org/erexpress.
