WARNER ROBINS – A 26-year-old Warner Robins man reported to police that he was cut on the left side of his chest in a struggle with a man who broke into his home early Tuesday.
According to a Warner Robins police report released Thursday, the King Drive resident used a kitchen knife to protect himself and his family after he saw a man, unknown age or description, in his yard. He said the man kicked in the front door and that he was cut with his own knife in the scuffle. His assailant then left.
The resident initially gave police a different version of events in which he said he was cut when he tried to break up a fight between two men near North Davis Drive and King Drive, the report said. One was swinging a knife, he said.
He was taken to Houston Medical Center for treatment of the non-life-threatening injury, and he signed a police waiver that he did not want to prosecute anyone, the report stated.
