WARNER ROBINS -- A home was shot up and a car damaged when someone opened fire on the residence in the 100 block of Jackson Street off Wellborn Road about 2:30 a.m. Thursday.
According to a Warner Robins police report, a 45-year-old woman who lives in the home with a 5-year-old told police she awoke to the sound of the bathroom mirror breaking. She said she had no idea why someone would “shoot up her house,” the report stated.
Police recovered 13 shell casings in the roadway, and officers found bullet holes in the front of the residence, including a front window, a side window in the front bedroom and a bathroom window, the report stated. The woman’s 1993 Buick Roadmaster also was damaged by what appeared to be three bullet holes, the report said.
The woman also told a police detective in a follow-up telephone interview that she “forgot” to tell the responding officers that another person lives at the residence, the report stated.
