WARNER ROBINS -- A stretch of Watson Boulevard from Corder Road to North 6th Street will close Saturday morning for the Warner Robins Christmas Parade.
The road closure will be in effect 9:15 a.m.-noon, a police news release stated. Detours will be in place.
Motorists approaching the Watson Boulevard and Corder Road intersection will be rerouted south onto Corder Road, while motorists approaching the intersection of Watson Boulevard and North 6th Street will be rerouted north onto North 6th Street, the release stated.
Titled “A Star-Spangled Parade,” the Robins Regional Chamber of Commerce event is expected to get underway at 10 a.m. Jarod Cotton, a local singer and 2012 Houston County High School graduate, is the parade grand marshal.

From the intersection of Houston Road and Watson Boulevard, the parade will make its way down Watson Boulevard to Myrtle Street where it will end in front of City Hall.
