Warner Robins man shot in back at his home

WARNER ROBINS -- A 38-year-old man was shot once in the back at his home about noon Sunday, police said.

Tom Gooch was taken by ambulance to The Medical Center of Central Georgia with injuries not thought to be life threatening, according to a Warner Robins police news release.

Bruce Osborn Key, 50, was arrested in connection with the incident in the 100 block of Briardale Avenue, the release stated. No other details of the shooting were included in the release.

According to Houston County jail records, Key, of Centerville, was charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during a crime. He was being held Monday without bond.

The online police report indicated Gooch was shot with an automatic black/blue handgun and that he knew Key.
