Three teenagers are accused of breaking into multiple vehicles during a five-hour spree during the early morning hours of Jan. 24 in Houston County, authorities said.
Charles Edward Manire IV, 18, of Warner Robins, was being held Tuesday in the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center on one count of theft by receiving stolen property and one count of theft by receiving auto. He was arrested last week in the stolen vehicle, said Houston County sheriff’s Sgt. Joe Middlebrooks.
State law shields the identities of juveniles under the age of 17. A 15-year-old female was released to the custody of her parents, while a 16-year-old male was being held at the Macon Regional Youth Detention Center, authorities said.
Manire confessed to the multiple break-ins, Middlebrooks said. Also, items stolen from at least one of the break-ins was found in the stolen vehicle, Middlebrooks said.
