Pedestrian killed on Russell Parkway in WR

A 27-year-old man died after being struck by a pickup truck early Sunday in Warner Robins, according to a news release from the Warner Robins Police Department.

Jing Chen of Warner Robins was struck about 12:10 a.m. as he tried to cross Russell Parkway from the south side near Marvin Boulevard, which is a few blocks west of Moody Road.

He was hit by a 2006 Toyota Tacoma driven by 20-year-old Taylor Ham of Byron. Ham was heading west on Russell Parkway in the right lane, according to the release.

Chen, who was not in a marked crosswalk, was pronounced dead at the scene. Ham was not injured. No charges have been filed in the incident, which is still under investigation.
