The Air Force Personnel Center, based at Randolph Air Force Base in Texas, announced this week it will open a satellite office at Robins Air Force Base next year.
The office will employ 72 to 80 additional employees.
The office, to be located at Building 376 on base, is scheduled to open May 1, 2011.
The Air Force Personnel Center plans to relocate existing employees for the Robins satellite office, spokesman Kenny Pruitt said. The office is part of an effort to place “on-site personnel specialists” at Air Force Materiel Command installations that employ large numbers of civilian employees, according to a news release from the group.
Once these satellite offices are up and running, they will help expedite administrative work for Robins. The personnel center also will establish satellite offices at Hill Air Force Base in Utah, Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio and Bolling Air Force Base in the Military District of Washington, D.C.
