Traffic on a portion of Ga. 247 will be blocked for about one hour Wednesday morning as an F-15B aircraft is towed to the Museum of Aviation.
The 402nd Maintenance Wing and the museum will move the aircraft from the Aero Club gate starting at about 9 a.m.
The 373rd Training Squadron/Detachment 6 will assist in taking the aircraft to the museum’s restoration area, according to a news release.
The F-15B comes to the museum from Edwards Air Force Base in Los Angeles, where it was used as a test plane. About 250 Robins Air Force Base Depot employees are expected to train in crew chief, aviation hydraulics and fuel courses on the aircraft.
