Warner Robins business honored by mayor

Warner Robins Mayor John Havrilla issued a proclamation to EZ Jewelry & Pawn, 1247 Watson Blvd., for 15 years of service to the community.

In the proclamation, the shop’s owners, Bryan Bucholz and Scott Trantham, were honored for providing 10,000 Houston County residents with short-term loans, serving as a local phone service agent, selling items worldwide through eBay and receiving 10,000 eBay acknowledgements.

“They’ve been successful, and in turn make the town more successful,” Havrilla said.

The business began in 1994 as EZ Auto Pawn, and in 2002, the name of the business changed to EZ Jewelry & Pawn. In 15 years, the business has grown to seven employees and doubled in size.

The owners will host a raffle for a diamond necklace at its anniversary party and will donate at least $1,000 to Rainbow House Children’s Resource Center in Warner Robins, which promotes child abuse education and advocacy.

“In 15 years, we wanted to give back to the area,” Bucholz said.
