Man’s body found in Fort Valley

The body of a homeless man was discovered behind a Fort Valley business Sunday afternoon, police said.Silvano Nieto Milian, 40, may have died from alcohol poisoning or some other alcohol-related health problem based on preliminary indications from the coroner, Fort Valley Police Chief John David Anderson said.Milian lived on the streets, and police often received complaints of him digging through Dumpsters, Anderson said.Milian’s body was discovered behind Middle Georgia Cleaners at 507 Knoxville St., where police suspect he may have been sleeping and may have taken up residence, Anderson said.There were no signs of physical trauma to the body, and foul play is not suspected, Anderson said.An autopsy is expected to be conducted today, he said.
