A Perry man was arrested Wednesday on charges of aggravated assault and criminal trespass after a weekend knife-wielding dispute with his brother, police said.
Marcus Golden, 42, was being held Wednesday at the Houston County jail in connection with the weekend incident in the 100 block of Jackson Lane, said police Capt. Heath Dykes.
Golden is accused of superficially cutting the hand of his brother, Quincy Kendrick, 31, of Perry, and more seriously cutting the wrist of Kim Lester, 45, also of Perry. Golden also is accused of sticking the knife in his brother’s car tire and deflating it.
According to Dykes, Perry police were dispatched to Perry Hospital’s emergency room in reference to Lester having been cut with a knife at 7:53 p.m. Sunday.
Lester and Kendrick were treated and released.
Kendrick witnessed Golden cut his tire, and Kendrick chased him to a car, where Lester was waiting inside, Dykes said.
Golden wielded the knife, cutting his brother and Lester, who was in the wrong place at the wrong time, Dykes said.
